Launching A Project? Trust Yourself
One of the hardest things about starting a new business or creative project is facing the reality that one day it will become real.
When a project launches, and things are for sale, there’s no place to hide.
Personally, I love the planning process. I can manage the buildout of a brand from end to end. I’ll find a graphic designer, write the copy, hire a video team, and set the tone for how things should run. I love that stuff.
But when a project launches, there’s no place to hide. Decisions you make months before based on speculation become decisions you have to live with. Suddenly, what seemed like great decisions before feel a lot scarier now.
My advice: Trust the process. The decisions you made with a confident mindset and a clear head months ago are likely better than the second-guessed decisions based on last-minute insecurity. Of course, there are many things that change when a project comes closer to launch, so solve those problems as they come up. But also, anticipate a fair amount of resistance when you launch something. Trust the ideas you had, trust the people you said you would, and don’t be afraid.
Good luck with the launch.
