Book Review: One Line A Day Journal
In August of 2019, I got an email from one of my favorite authors, Daniel Pink. It was an email blast, sure, but it felt like it was just for me. He recommended trying out a One Line A Day journal. One Line A Day is a journal that has 365 pages, and 5 places to write a few lines on each page. It allows you to keep track of what you did every single day for 5 years in one little book.
I love doing One Line A Day because it helps me put moments from my day down on paper before I get to sleep. Somehow, writing things down helps me get lingering thoughts and stresses out of my head before I go to bed. Then I sleep better!
A couple things to be aware of: One Line A Day is a grind for the first year. Now that I’ve been doing it for a year, it’s fun and rewarding to see what I was doing last year, and compare the progress with the consistencies. Also, One Line A Day becomes really tough when I get behind. Catching up on entries is tricky, because it takes a lot of mental energy to remember what happened on a random Tuesday a few weeks before.
All in all, if you’re someone who likes journaling and reflecting, One Line A Day is for you. Here’s a link to check it out, and a link to the one who told me about it, Daniel Pink.
All the best!
