You Only Have to Focus For One Month

What could you accomplish if you acted with extreme focus for one month? Only one month? Could you growth hack your social account? Could you launch an online business? Could you learn a new artistic medium?

We get too concerned with the long-term implications of our actions. Like teenagers, deliberating for weeks about whether or not we should talk to our crush, we consider all the unhelpful angles of a potential project. We wonder what it would say about us. We wonder what kind of person we might become if we were successful. We read ever-scrolling blogs, and listen to long-form podcasts trying to make sense of it.

Meanwhile, successful folks act with extreme focus for short bursts to see for themselves. They learn immeasurably more by trying, failing, iterating, and then succeeding on whatever you’re dreaming about.

Be honest about what the next month would look like for you anyway. Just act! Put in an hour every day for the next 30 days. Aim to launch. See what happens.
