How To Get More Out Of Life

Generally speaking, you get out of life what you put into it.

Of course there are cases when you try really hard and see no return. And then there are cases in which you score an opportunity that you weren’t looking for. But generally speaking, over the average, you get out of life what you put into it.

When we work hard for the things that don’t go our way, that’s not wasted time or energy. We challenge ourselves. We grow. People notice. We’re slowly getting prepared to capitalize on the free opportunities when they come our way.

If we sit around waiting for the free opportunities, they won’t come around very often. If you want to see a train, go to the tracks. You’re not guaranteed to see a train every time you go, but you’re much more likely to see one than if you didn’t go.

I know it can be hard. It can be hard to see your friends’ careers take off while you’re stuck in first gear. It’s hard to see other people finish creative projects while you’re still searching for inspiration. It can be hard to get out of bed when people are afraid to make friends.

But you must. There’s only one life to live. There’s only one chance to do the things you want to do. Start building momentum today. Just open the laptop, grab a pen, take your camera out of the case–whatever it may be. Start by simply holding it in your hands. Then see where it takes you today.

Good luck out there. I’m rooting for you.
