Clear Pitch Decks

If your pitch isn’t clear on paper, a deck won’t help.

When you make a pitch deck, start with a Google Doc. If it makes sense there, then go ahead and add reference images, design elements, and creative copy. But whatever you do, don’t start your pitch process by opening Keynote and Unsplash. Let that be the last thing you do.

The smartest teachers you had explained things in the simplest ways. It was the teachers who didn’t fully understand the subject matter who made things really complicated. Starting your pitch on paper is a great litmus test to whether or not you understand what you’re pitching.

Who is this for? What does this accomplish? How much does each service cost? Answering simple questions like these will lead you to a better pitch than 80% of the convoluted decks out there.

Good luck.

P.S. I’m loving this pitch website called pitch.com. Check it out!
