Education = Entertainment

“Education” is a big, hairy word that brings up memories of unfair grade school teachers, denied college applications, and an undertone of classism.

But it shouldn’t be that way.

The pure definition of education is an excitement about being better for the sake of being better.

In the internet age, people are teaching. Free tutorials on how to tie a bowtie, change your oil, and make a transparent png abound. It’s partially fueled by a potential revenue stream, but mostly fueled by a love for education.

And the best part? Pure education is vastly more engaging than pure entertainment. We just check out of education because no one gave our creativity a chance in 6th grade.

If you can change a portion of your entertainment sources from streaming to podcasts, books, and tutorials, you’ll advance your career and find much more satisfaction in life.

And now there’s a revenue model for people who teach exactly what you have always wanted to know.

Go find them.
