You Can Do It
The important thing to remember is that you can do it. When projects get crazy and opportunities come knocking, and you start to wonder whether or not you’ll be able to pull everything off, just remember: you can do it.
When I started my career, things were a lot like the way I just described. I was busy all the time, hustling to network and make rent, working late nights. I developed a grit, and a sort of illogical conviction that I could do it. I wasn’t sure it was true, but I believed it was because that was the only way I could make it happen.
This conviction turned into proof, as the grit I developed paid off again and again. Through successes and failures, the belief that I could do it fueled me to do it.
But this month, projects have been slow. I’ve welcomed that. Taken a little more time to slow down. Take a break.
But now, my Summer calendar is getting full. I’m starting to wonder: can I do it?
The important thing to remember is yes. I can do it. And you can too.
