Today Is A Gratitude Training Ground

Are you grateful for your life today? For things right now? Are you grateful in the middle of stressful, confusing, not-quite-there-yet today?

Being grateful now is a training ground for being grateful later. Things in your life will only get more stressful, with higher stakes, greater risk and reward, and more people depending on you. As you live life, tragedies will come your way. People you love will get sick, have troubles, and pass away.

Being grateful now is a training ground. If you can’t be grateful for things now, it’ll only be more difficult in the future.

Here’s a quick tip: Take a deep breath. Take a short walk. Drink a cold glass of water. Stress can’t stop you from doing these things. Find a brief moment of peace in these quick actions. Then try it for something a little bigger.

Stress and enjoyment of life are not mutually exclusive. It might seem like they are, but they aren’t. In fact, learning to have gratitude in the midst of stress is a key to enjoying life.

Good luck out there.
