A Strategy for your Goals Exists

 
 

I’m currently speaking with a client about scaling their business. We’ve been mapping out a strategy to get the business above $1 million in revenue by the end of 2022. To do this, I’ve been digging into old client records, project profitability reports, and specific products the business has. 

At first, the idea of taking a very small business to above $1 million in revenue was daunting. A million bucks is a big number that has a lot of emotions and misconceptions tied into it. Then I realized something.

There is a way to do it. People less motivated and less intelligent and less educated than we are have figured this out in the past. There is a process that will work to scale this business, and even though these processes are moving targets to some degree, they’re still out there. They exist. 

So the next steps are to find the major inflection points for this business and build a plan around them. Then, we gotta get to work. 

Another interesting thing I’ve been realizing is how much emotion can get tied up in business decisions. The goal of getting above $1 million in revenue has been making things much easier. Previously, brand and relationship and workflow considerations kept us from being bullish about increasing revenue. Now that we have a goal set in front of us, these other considerations seem to melt away.
