"Redefine" - A Jeremiah Appreciation Post

“Redefine” is a word that Jeremiah uses a lot.

When I first started dating my girlfriend, I was petrified of becoming tied down. So I went to Jeremiah for some advice. He encouraged me to redefine my understanding of what a relationship looks like. He said that we’re all influenced by how we see others in their relationships, but we have the opportunity to redefine that, and create whatever we want.

When Jeremiah first started touring with The Chainsmokers, he was inspired by their work ethic. He says that everyone complains about being too busy, but after watching them, he decided to redefine what the word busy means for him.

After I graduated college, I had trouble making decisions about my future, and froze in fear. When he moved to Venice Beach, he invited me to live with him, and didn’t charge me rent until I got on my feet. Jeremiah redefined friendship for me with extreme generosity.

Redefining my understanding of a relationship has led me to feel more support and love with my girlfriend than I thought was possible. Redefining my definition of being busy has led me to more opportunities and success so far than I feel like I deserve. Redefining friendship has taken me on one of the most exiting adventures of my life so far.

Let’s all try to be a little more like Jeremiah in this way. To understand what holds us back, and to redefine these obstacles into the pathway that leads us to the best version of ourselves.
